Routes 71 & P71 are proposed to be discontinued. Service to the area would be provided via the proposed routes P1, X60, X65, and D58.
Key Route Information
- Routes 71 and P71 would be discontinued due to very low ridership and slow recovery post-pandemic.
- Route D58 would retain the connection between Swisshelm Park & Edgewood Towne Center, and connect to Oakland/ Downtown.
- Routes X60 and X65 would connect Regent Square to Oakland and Downtown.
Route Highlights
- Riders in Regent Square could board the P1 and other East Busway routes at Hamnett and Wilkinsburg Stations.
- X60 and X65 would provide frequent service through Regent Square and Wilkinsburg.
- Route X65 would connect Rankin to the East Busway at Swissvale Station.
- New connection would be created between Swisshelm Park and Oakland.
