Route D12 McCandless/Wexford

Existing: Route 12 McKnight

Route 12 is proposed to become Route D12. This route is proposed to be streamlined along McKnight Rd to provide faster and more direct service.

Move to the slider on the map to the right to view the current route and to the left to view the proposed route.

Route extension would create new connection to Wexford and AHN Wexford Hospital, expanding access to healthcare and jobs.
Would increase weekday frequencies to 30 min, and increase weekend frequencies to 30 min on Sat and 40 min on Sun.
Would create faster and more direct route alignment between Downtown and McCandless Park and Ride.

The D12 would extend from Downtown to AHN Wexford Hospital and would run every 60 minutes.
The D12S would run from Downtown to McCandless Park and Ride every 60 minutes. Combined frequency on the D12 and D12S would provide 30 minute service on the portion between Downtown and McCandless.
Connections to routes serving greater North Side, North Hills, and Allegheny/Ohio Valleys would be available at Northside Giant Eagle.
Service to McIntyre Square would be provided by Route N17. Service to UPMC Passavant would be provided by Routes N17 and O9.
The D12 is proposed to be streamlined along McKnight Rd to provide faster and more direct service. Connections to other routes available along Mcknight Rd.
