Route N3 is proposed as a new route. This route would restore historic transit service to the Allegheny Valley and improve local connections.
Key Route Improvements
- Would create new connections between New Kensington and the Highlands Mall via Tarentum, Brackenridge and Natrona Heights.
- Would replace weekday, peak-only service in Natrona Heights with 7-day, all-day service.
- Would add service on River Ave between Tarentum, Brackenridge and Natrona, and would retain service to Creighton.
Route Highlights
- N3 would connect to routes N1 and L1 in New Kensington and Tarentum, providing service to Waterworks and East Liberty all day, and to Downtown Pittsburgh during the morning peak.
- The N3 would restore historic transit service to the Allegheny Valley and improve local connections. In this second draft, this fixed route community circulator route would take the place of previously proposed microtransit, to address feedback received on the first draft.
