Route 6 is proposed to become Route D6. This route would create a new direct connection from Friendship Ave to East Liberty.

Key Route Improvements
- Would create new connections between Garfield, Bloomfield, the Strip, Downtown, and new connections between Friendship and Bakery Square.
- Would retain service along Friendship Ave and existing connections between Negley, Bloomfield, the Strip District, and Downtown.
- Would increase weekday & Saturday service frequency in Garfield to 30 min and to 40 min on Sundays with span to 11 PM.
Route Highlights
- Service through Morningside would be provided by the D75.
- Service through Stanton Heights would be provided by the D89.
- Many routes overlap on Liberty Ave and Penn Ave, providing frequent service between the Strip District and Downtown.
- Would create a new direct connection from Friendship Ave to East Liberty.
- Garfield would gain a new direct connection to Downtown.
