Route 77 is proposed to become Route N77. The N77 would connect to the East Busway at Wilkinsburg Station for fast and frequent access to Downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland.

Key Route Improvements
- Would simplify service for riders by streamlining the multiple variants of the existing Route 77.
- Would retain service on Long Rd through Penn Hills; would retain connection to frequent service options on the P1/P3.
- Would maintain connections to transit hubs at Penn Hills Shopping Center and Wilkinsburg Station.
Route Highlights
- Route D86 would serve Frankstown Rd and provide Penn Hills with a direct connection between Penn Hills Shopping Center and Downtown every 30 min.
- Route N72 would serve Leechburg Rd and Alcoma Apartments and connect to Penn Hills Shopping Center and Monroeville Mall.
- The N77 would connect to the East Busway at Wilkinsburg Station for fast and frequent access to Downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland.
- Segments of the existing Route 77 would be discontinued due to very low ridership.
