Route N72 is proposed as a New Route. The fixed-route N72 would take the place of previously proposed microtransit to address feedback received on the first draft.

Key Route Improvements

• Would increase span of service from weekdays only to hourly service every day.
• Would expand transit coverage in Penn Hills and provide more local connections.
• Would create a direct connection between Penn Hills and Monroeville Mall, and retain access to Penn Hills and Alcoma.

Route Highlights

• Route D86 would serve Penn Hills Shopping Center every 30 minutes, providing a direct connection to Wilkinsburg, Bloomfield, and Downtown.
• The fixed-route N72 would take the place of previously proposed microtransit to address feedback received on the first draft.
• Some segments of this new route are currently served by P flyer routes at peak hours only. The N72 would serve a new purpose, to provide more local circulation in Penn Hills and to Monroeville Mall, rather than commuter flyer service into Downtown.
• Transfers would be available at Monroeville Mall, such as the D67 to Forbes Hospital and the N68 to Braddock or CCAC Boyce.
