Proposed: Route D51/S West Mifflin/Brentwood via Carrick
Route 51/51L is proposed to become Route D51 & D51S. This route would provide a more consistent, streamlined alignment through West Mifflin.

Key Route Improvements
- The D51 & D51S would retain a combined 10 min frequency between Brentwood and Downtown.
- With the O45, there would be additional service frequency along Brownsville Rd between Brentwood and South Side Flats.
- Would provide a more consistent, streamlined alignment through West Mifflin.
Route Highlights
- All trips on the D51 would travel through the South Side.
- Service on Arlington Ave provided by the existing 51L would now be served by the D40
- Additional connections from Brownsville Rd to Oakland would be available via the new proposed O45.
- The D51S would terminate at the Brentwood Loop on Brownsville Rd.
- The D51 would terminate at the West Mifflin Garage.
- On weekdays from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the D51 and D51S would provide 10 minute bus frequencies between Brentwood Loop and Downtown Pittsburgh.
