Route D38 Chartiers Valley

Existing: Route 38 Green Tree

Route 38 is proposed to become Route D38. This route would retain connections to Downtown and shopping in Chartiers Valley.

Would increase frequency to 60 min from 80 min, would expand span of service on weekends.
Would retain connections to Downtown and shopping in Chartiers Valley.
Would improve service reliability by streamlining multiple route variants, to provide more consistent service.

Service proposed to be removed from low ridership segments, notably Lindsay Rd and Swallow Hill Rd, in Scott Township.
All trips would serve both Bridgeville and West End, and the route is streamlined to omit multiple variants like on the existing 38.
D38 riders could transfer to the east-west N34 which connects across the South Hills between Carnegie Station and Brentwood.
Route N41 would connect Scott Township Shopping Plaza to Mount Lebanon Station.
