Proposed: Route X28 Airport - East Liberty via Downtown, Oakland
Route 28X is proposed to become Route X28. The X28 would bypass Robinson Town Centre and provide direct service from the West Busway to the Airport.

Key Route Improvements
- Would retain Downtown/Oakland connection to airport service, creates new connections on the East Busway and West Busway.
- Would provide faster, more direct airport service by removing stops at Robinson Town Centre.
- Would improve access to airport service in South Hills with a new connection at Carnegie Station on the West Busway.
Route Highlights
- The X28 would bypass Robinson Town Centre and provide direct service from the West Busway to the Airport.
- The X28 would serve all stops on the West Busway in both directions, by lifting stop restrictions.
- Service would be extended to Carnegie Station before traveling direct to the Airport via I-376.
- The University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) would retain existing service to the X28.
- The X28 would serve Negley and East Liberty Stations directly on the East Busway.
