Route 16 is proposed to become Route D16. This route would be extended farther west to serve Ben Avon and Emsworth.

Key Route Improvements
- Would be part of the high frequency network with 20 min weekday service until 8 PM.
- Would create new direct connections on the North Side to Giant Eagle and other key points through modified routing.
- Proposed extension from Avalon to Emsworth would provide daily service to Downtown for Ben Avon and Emsworth
