Route 83 is proposed to become Route N83 with service from Oakland to downtown via Bedford Ave, Upper Hill, and Allequippa St.

Summary of Proposed Changes

Route would be made more direct through Hill District.
The route would remain mostly unchanged and still provide community connections for the Hill District.
Service to the South Side would be provided by Routes N84, D73, and O47.
Frequency would be improved during the day on weekdays.
Reliability would be improved due to shortened alignment.
Would maintain coverage in the Upper Hill District.
