Project Purpose

To identify opportunities that are supported by Port Authority and the community for:

  • TOD feasibility: transit-oriented development scenarios that are possible and desired on the site
  • Station access: making it easier and safer for people to get to the stations
  • Station design: making Port Authority facilities more comfortable and easy to use

The resulting plan will recommend improvements that the Port Authority could undertake to improve the rider experience and ensure the maximum utilization of its property.

    Two public workshops hosted on 5/10/21 to gain community feedback on the current site and what they would like to see improved.

    Concept Development

    The project team will use community member, stakeholder, and internal Port Authority feedback to develop two concepts for a new site design.

    Public Workshops and Open House

    Two virtual public workshops on 8/18 will present two initial concepts for the site to the community. An in-person open house event on 8/19 will give people another engagement option. We will use insight at these meetings to select the final concept.

    Implementation Strategy & Final Concept Development

    The final concept is developed based on community and internal PAAC feedback. Project team creates an implementation strategy.
